"Adapting Aquatic Diving Abilities"
The EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDER course is a 1 day class which is an important step in expanding the Diver knowledge and experience. Certification is credited to the RESCUE DIVER course. This performance-based course will involve classroom presentations, practical skill development followed by a final written exam. Upon completion of the (EFR/DEMP) course you will be able to take advantage of volunteering time to assist with a variety of Disabled Divers and join other HSA members on the FREE Boat Trip Dives!
The (EFR/DEMP) program prepares you to address multiple problems at once and with confidence. It combines the knowledge and skills from the following courses into a single approach to DIVING EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PROVIDER:
- Basic Life Support: (CPR & AFA)
- Cardiopulmonary Resusitation
- Advanced First Aid
- Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)
- Emergency Oxygen Provider (EO2P)
- Neurological Assessment (NURO)
- First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries (HMLI)
Upon successful completion of the course, the student is certified as a EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDER and qualifies for further training into the Rescue Diver course or the professional career as a DiveMaster .
